Alex Herring is one lucky guy, and he knows it. He has three — count ‘em — three true loves: Voice Acting, his Family and Photography. These three passions fuel each other, giving Alex a genuine edge in the booth.
Alex’s exuberance for photography took him to New York City, where he studied and worked alongside Annie Leibovitz and many of his other camera-carrying heroes from 2005 to 2011. He sees the world as a wild, beautiful, intimate place. And he brings this lens to every audition. His ability to visualize a scene and picture himself in it lends true authenticity to his performances.
After a jaunt to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he soaked up small town life while immersing himself in photography, he moved back home to Georgia in 2016, where he is living the dream as a full-time actor who enjoys watching kaleidoscopic sunsets with his wife, dancing to music with abandon and creating animated characters in his head.
Alex throws himself completely into whatever he does. As a competitive swimmer, he won first place in every race of his final season. As an outdoorsman, he mastered the art of tuning to the rhythms of the wildlife surrounding him. As a student of photography, he graduated at both the academic and artistic top of his class.
Outgoing and easy-going, intimate and all in, that’s the Alex Herring approach to life. His infectious attitude, youthful energy and devotion to diving into performances make him the kind of guy who has your back — and the kind of guy clients call back.
